Sahil Madaan
DJ, Live Saxophonist & Audio Pro
@djsahilmadaanSunburn main stages, a global progressive-house co-sign, and a live saxophone almost nobody in India plays — built on an obsession with sound he still can't quite explain.
Sahil Madaan didn't come from a music family or a master plan. A friend pressed play on the right song at the right moment — and that was it.
Fifteen years later, he's played Sunburn and Supersonic, been co-signed by one of the most credible names in global progressive house, and brought a live saxophone onto the dancefloor — something almost nobody in India does. Along the way he's taught the next generation of DJs and helped build a professional audio company.
In Episode 15 of Season 2, Sahil traces the whole arc with VIC: the friend who started it, the mentor who shaped his ear, the saxophone nobody asked him to play (a story that begins with a Shah Rukh Khan confession), the night Sunburn changed everything, and the obsession with sound — as identity, as craft, and as business — that still drives him.
“Some people build their entire lives around sound — without ever quite being able to explain why.”
