DJ Whosane
Pioneer of India's Underground Dance Music
Tabloids, trance, and the album India forgot.
Hussain Babai — known to the world as DJ Whosane — is one of the men who built India's underground dance music scene from nothing in the late 1980s. No infrastructure, no precedent, no audience yet. He did it anyway. And the album that should have changed everything? India forgot about it. Until now.
In Episode 10 of Season 2, Whosane goes deep on trance, tabloids, the underground, and the record that deserved better — unfiltered and completely on the record.
The VIC Fix is hosted by DJ VIC — an international DJ and producer who performs at weddings, corporate events and festivals across India, staged as a signature audio-visual show.
“I was playing trance before anyone in India knew what to call it. That's both the best and the hardest thing I can say about my career.”
