Assad Namazi
DJ — 30 Years Behind the Decks, Beatport #1 Artist
What nobody tells you about 30 years as a DJ.
Assad Namazi has been behind the decks for thirty years — long enough to have outlasted trends, formats, venues, and entire scenes. He is one of Bangalore's most respected DJs and a Beatport #1 artist whose career has spanned everything the Indian electronic music industry has been through.
In Episode 8 of Season 2, Assad tells VIC the real story — what it actually takes to survive and thrive in this industry for three decades, the things the highlight reel leaves out, and what thirty years on the floor actually feels like.
The VIC Fix is hosted by DJ VIC — an international DJ and producer who performs at weddings, corporate events and festivals across India, staged as a signature audio-visual show.
“After 30 years, you stop playing for applause and start playing for the music.”
